Jashan qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas, University of London in 2008 with a distinction. Soon after this he completed a Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry course with the world renowned Dr Christopher Orr, which focused on providing the best cosmetic options for patients using the latest materials. He has carried out numerous life changing smile makeovers. Jashan obtained the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons England, a widely recognised postgraduate qualification.

Alongside general dentistry, Jashan has a special interest in Dental Implantology and is passionate about the positive impact of dental implants on his patients' quality of life. He has completed a Diploma in Implant Dentistry working alongside a leading consultant in Harley Street. He then went on to complete a Master’s degree at the prestigious Warwick University, which has provided him with the highest level of qualification for a U.K Implantologist. Jashan accepts referrals to provide implant treatment.

Jashan has a keen interest in postgraduate education and the importance of continued learning and development for all dentists. He has obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education from the University of Bedfordshire and has spent some time teaching dentists at the Implant training Institute in Harley street. He is also an educational supervisor for foundation dentists in Hertfordshire and West Essex and takes time out of his clinical practice for their educational learning needs. 

John graduated from King’s College London in 2021. He has a passion for cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and has been committed to continual learning and development to ensure his patients are provided with high quality care.

He has undertaken several restorative courses, including a year-long course by the highly esteemed Dr Chris Orr, as well as further training from other leading clinicians. John provides modern techniques like injection moulding incorporating the use of the latest technology in digital dentistry by using 3D scanning. He is also an Invisalign Comprehensive provider, and has undertaken a diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy to enable Invisalign treatment for a wider variety of cases.

John’s warm and friendly approach puts patients at ease, which allows even anxious patients to have a comfortable and pleasant experience.

John also has a passion for charity work, and in 2021 co-founded a dental charity "Mobile Smiles" with the aim of providing dental aid in third-world countries, including Namibia, Egypt, and Peru. In his spare time, John enjoys going to the gym, playing football, and photography.

Dr. Dareen Sherief graduated with Honours from the University of Liverpool in 2020 and joined Village Dental Practice later that year. Following this, she undertook a surgical post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, spending a year managing complex oral surgical cases, including surgical extractions, biopsies, and the treatment of maxillofacial trauma and disease.

During this time, Dareen successfully obtained the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She has also presented her work internationally at the European Association of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery.

​

Since completing her surgical training post, Dareen has returned to Village Dental Practice, where she provides the full scope of general dentistry. She is a SAAD Assessed Sedationist in IV sedation, enabling her to deliver safe and effective conscious sedation for anxious patients, ensuring their comfort throughout treatment.

Dareen believes in a gentle, patient-centred approach to dentistry, always placing the wellbeing and experience of her patients at the heart of her care.

Chirag qualified on the graduate scheme from King's College London and joined the practice in 2023. Prior to this he completed his master's in Pharmacy at De Montfort University, Leicester and is keen to apply his pharmaceutical knowledge in the dental field.

He has an interest in treating patients with anxiety and has had experience in educating local communities about good oral hygiene.

​

In his spare time, Chirag regularly enjoys playing football and cricket as well as spending time at the gym. 

Viraj, graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2024 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, after completing a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield in 2018. He is passionate about providing gentle, patient-focused care and is dedicated to helping people improve their oral health and overall well-being.

Viraj looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients and making their dental experience as comfortable as possible. 

Shurmaine qualified top of her class at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute in 2013 and has worked with us since.

She has extensive experience in maintaining oral health. This can range from simple scaling, polishing and instruction in maintaining oral hygiene to more complex gum treatments

She is highly rated for her excellent clinical skills by all her patients, and prides herself in taking a gentle and calming approach. She has a special interest in treating periodontal disease, preventative dentistry. Many of our patients have repeatedly commented that Shurmaine really is the kindest and most caring hygienist they have ever been treated by.

She is also our aesthetician providing whitening and treatment for lines and wrinkles. She is an accredited member of BTC.

She is also able to help maintain the dental health of our patients who have undergone implant treatment.

Rachel has been an integral part of Village Dental Practice for 10 years, bringing exceptional organization, and patient-centered care to the team. As Practice Manager, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring that both patients and staff enjoy a smooth, efficient, and welcoming experience.

With over a decade of experience in the dental field, Rachel has developed a deep understanding of patient needs, clinical workflows, and the importance of teamwork in providing quality dental care. She takes pride in  supporting professional growth among staff, and maintaining the highest standards of service to patients.

Becky has been a dental nurse for over 10 years, she joined the practice in 2017 and has become a real asset to the team. She likes all aspects of dental nursing and particularly enjoys meeting and interacting with patients and caring for them throughout their appointments.

Becky has many years of experience with dealing with people and her friendly and approachable manner helps to ease nervous patients.

Marta provides important support for our dentists and patients during all treatments. She discovered clinical dentistry gives her the greatest satisfaction and loves helping people achieve the greatest smile along with the best oral hygiene they deserve.  

Lisa has been a dental nurse for many years and left the profession 14 years ago to spend time raising her children. She has decided to come back to the profession and job she loved doing and has picked up where she left off. She joined the practice in 2021 and has become a vital part of the team. She likes all aspects of dental nursing and there is never a moment where Lisa is not smiling. She is especially great with nervous patients. 

Sofia joined our practice in 2025 and enrolled on our apprenticeship scheme. She has grown up in the local area and has been a great addition to our team. She has a wonderful manner and has been a very keen learner. The aspects of her job she finds most rewarding is looking after patients and making them feel comfortable.
